Project Manager-Technology

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Project Manager - Technology in Minneapolis, MN to manage application development and maintenance for various in-house and vendor-developed internally deployed applications, while overseeing software and applications development, whose end products are used for risk analytics and product modelling by the Finance Capital Markets and Corporate Actuarial lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Manage application development and maintenance for various in-house and vendor-developed internally deployed applications, while overseeing software and applications development, whose end products are used for risk analytics and product modelling by the Finance Capital Markets and Corporate Actuarial lines of business.
• Perform product backlog review/grooming and Sprint Planning with product owners, cross-systems business analysts, SMEs, Development and QA teams to determine Sprint size, scope and estimations.
• Lead application installation planning effort and oversee installation plan, implementation status-related communications to project stakeholders, run checkpoint conference calls and ensure successful completion of technology and business tasks.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience project involving coding and/or designing in relevant programming languages in the following environments: .Net based applications, TWS, Bit Bucket, CA Automation Tool, Jenkins, ETL Informatica, Oracle and SQL database. 5 years of project management experience within Finance, Banking, Insurance and wealth management domain, implementation of large scale programs/projects, and PM Tools such as JIRA, MS project. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years in the above stated requirements.
