As the Manager of Pricing at Plaid, you'll work cross-functionally with Go-To-Market, Product, and Ops teams to develop and implement our overall pricing strategy. You will identify actionable insights, assess their impact, and lead execution & implementation. The role requires someone who is highly analytical and strategic, approaches problems in a structured manner, and is comfortable with ambiguity.

    • Evolving Plaid's pricing strategy to achieve financial objectives and drive long-term growth
    • Connecting with customers and deploying quantitative research to understand Plaid's value proposition by use case, geography, and other relevant dimensions
    • Identifying new segmentation and bundling scenarios to increase product penetration and increase the perceived value proposition
    • Ensuring pricing guidance aligns with the negotiation strategies of relevant teams
    • Providing strategic counsel to Product Managers and GTM teams on decisions on how to price new products
    • Working cross-functionally to effectively identify hypotheses, structure analysis, recommend solutions, and communicate pricing changes and rationale
    • Identify areas for investment to build and solidify a pricing strategy practice at Plaid
    • Building detailed specifications and working with systems teams to define and build new pricing quotation / billing features for GTM teams
What excites us
    • A passion for financial services innovation
    • 5-10+ years of experience in pricing role and/or investment analyst role with focus pricing; SaaS experience preferred; payments / fintech API pricing a bonus
    • Strong analytical, financial modeling and presentation skills
    • Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and action plans
    • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
    • Ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels
    • Ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams and influence decision making
    • Strong knowledge of SQL preferred
    • Technical degree preferred
