As a Barclays EM Rates & FX Product Developer you will be expected to drive the ongoing build-out of the electronic EM Rates & FX Product globally by working closely with distribution, trading, technology and quant partners. You will play a role in defining and assessing our products, development, testing and deployment of the platforms, both internally and externally. The team was established to be a conduit between the FX and EM business and technology. Helping to define the business goals, plan and implement growth initiatives across the FX and Emerging Markets landscape.

What will you be doing?
• Contributing to the defining and executing the optimal product strategy for electronic sales and trading.
• Developing and optimize technical implementation with our technology partners and driving short-term delivery objectives through an organised and prioritised back log.
• Overseeing product rollout and user training for traders and sales people
• Working with technology and business stakeholders to build and develop user-centric functionality that will help improve, simplify and automate tasks for sales and clients.
• Helping to implement the product roadmap and define long term objectives in conjunction with the business and technology to establish a strategic and scalable approach.
• Working with the Digital Strategy teams to help define the product roadmaps
• Reviewing and testing of releases in production prior to pilot user rollout or general release
• Being accountable for the setting of business technology priority and vision
What we're looking for:
• Significant industry experience across EM rates & FX and financial markets products.
• Experience of operating within a product owner function
• Ability to analyse user needs and build out robust requirement documentation
• Must be able to form strong relationships and be collaborative with Front-office and Infrastructure teams
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent written and oral communicator. Able to distil and articulate complex issues for audiences of various sophistication
• Ability to form relationships and be collaborative with Front-office and Infrastructure teams
• Passionate, motivated and resilient
• Ability to develop and drive business strategy around our technology initiatives
Where will you be working?
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place. It boasts an array of onsite amenities such as dry cleaner as well as a deli and buffet style staff restaurant. The building is easily accessible by tube, docklands light railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
