Columbia Threadneedle Investments is a leading and evolving global asset management company. The Trading Business Support Team is responsible for business and technical support for the global trading platform that supports Columbia Threadneedle Investments' entire product offering with trading across all asset classes including equity, fixed income, derivatives and FX instruments. Within the Trading Business Support Team the Senior Manager - Business Analyst position will take a lead role in all activities required to support the global trading platform, as well as a prominent role in collaborating with business partners and senior management on strategic business initiatives and projects. This position requires a dynamic person who enjoys a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to quickly build expertise across multiple disciplines within the asset management business.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing, implementing, and documenting best practice protocols that minimize operating risks across the global trading and related investment platforms
  • Collaborating with both internal (e.g., Investments, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Risk & Controls) and external business partners to effectively communicate, prioritize and deliver on-going business and one-time needs.
  • Taking a leadership role with Technology and external vendors in driving the on-going support and enhancements for all trading related systems and applications.
  • Managing general business operating needs for the global trading platform.
  • Managing medium to large size projects that require developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of evolving operating and regulatory environments.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; CFA or additional professional qualifications beneficial
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally working within the financial services sector
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to produce effective recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that provide the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external constituents
  • Ability to analyze data with attention to detail and draw meaningful insights
  • Ability to interrelate and understand complex issues across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects concurrently
