The Role Responsibilities
The Financial Markets Finance team supports the Financial Markets Sales team by providing insights and analysis to help drive the performance and execution of the business. The role will enhance existing reporting and analytics infrastructure, engage and collaborate with FM Finance and Sales leadership teams in addition to identifying key financial performance metrics.
Role responsibilities include:
  • Through Power BI and Tableau enhance MIS to accurately capture performance metrics across revenues, costs and capital returns (RWA, RoRWA, ROTE...). driving the use of Machine learning and adoption.
  • Support FM Finance heads by providing insightful analysis across areas of opportunity, deep dives (performance cells) and analysis which drive commercial decision making.
  • Leverage commercial acumen to interpret business performance and identify areas of opportunity andinsight in relation to client segments.
  • Help drive strategic initiatives to generate incremental business value through increased revenue or optimizing cost.
  • Partnering with FM Intelligence team to create Frontline analytics dashboards.

Spearhead analytical MIS Solution and drive metrics production
  • Design client centric solutions which would help Sales teams to deliver enhanced client engagement.
  • Drive Innovation by proposing new ways of leveraging the power of data management and data science frameworks.
  • Partner with the frontline team to identify Business Development and Revenue Generating opportunities by leveraging the Client Data both internal and external and the Data Science Framework.
  • Provide guidance to the development team and leverage them to create the solutions that are required by the Frontline teams and Finance Management.
  • Conduct thorough validation and data quality checks to ensure accurate and value adding solutions being delivered to the team.
  • Hands on development capability of data science solutions would be preferable .
Commercialization of Data Science Outcomes
  • Drive adoption of Data Insights and Solutions with the FM-Finance and FM-Sales teams
  • Ensure monetization by measuring relevant opportunities and associated conversions.
  • Establish a feedback mechanism from the frontline staff which feeds into the subsequent delivery framework.
Stakeholder management
  • Play a pivotal role in consolidating all the requirements and delivery for assigned segments / products / geographies.
  • Drive the conversation to ensure formulation of requirements that would enhance Frontline productivity and ensure delivery of the solutions through constant feedback and iterative development.
Governance
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Adherence to the Data Privacy and Group / Country Compliance guidelines.
  • Adhere to financial governance, supply chain management and procurement guidelines for third party vendor sourcing arrangements.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant / quantitative degree in Finance/Technology
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and Python or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience either in the capacity of Frontline team or Support functions.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in the banking industry, hedge funds, investment companies, or financial markets in general.
  • Analytical mindset acquired in FP&A, Finance, Product Control, Valuation Control, Middle Office or similar function.
  • Broad experience of Financial Market products (FX, Rates, Commodity, Credit).
  • Ability to think both analytically and strategically and applying these skills to interpret financial information.
  • Good written and spoken communications skills - including commentaries and insights and presentations
  • Problem solving capability and Innovation mind set would be key differentiator
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of a diverse, global organisation
  • Exceptional collaboration skills, strong team player
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent time management skills
