Trader

A HK based asset management firm is now looking for a Trader. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the daily trade execution of the investment portfolios managed.

Execute orders for the funds of different strategies investing in various markets, HK/China, US, Asia ex Japan, Japan, Fixed Income and Derivatives.

• Provide market updates, news flow.
• Communicate with the team member(s) to enhance information transparency.
• Co-operate and work with relevant departments including operation, settlement and compliance to ensure all procedures are in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations;
• Compile pre-trade, post-trade and other reports in respect of all orders placed and all transactions executed and maintain proper recordkeeping
• Maintain good relationship with brokers, manage commission, and ensure effective communication with counterparties, in order to achieve your duty.
• Provide other investment-related support to the portfolio management team.

The ideal candidate has:

• 3-5 years' experience in equity execution, preferably buy-side with small mid cap focus
• A bachelors' degree or above
• Communicate effectively in both written and spoken Mandarin and English
