What you will be responsible for:
PURPOSE :
Using specialist skill, discretion and judgment, the role-holder shall support the Compliance Officer -Lux to run an efficient and effective Compliance function that ensure MFS Investment Management (Lux) S.a.r.l. ("MFS Lux") complies with all applicable compliance and AML regulations and requirements Specifically, the role-holder shall be primarily involved in the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Plan for MFS Lux as well as the AML/CFT programme.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Using a full understanding of European and Luxembourg rules and regulations applicable to an UCITS Management Company, and working with the other members of the Compliance team, perform the following responsibilities:
Monitoring:
  • Execution and ongoing enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and ensure it remains robust, effective and aligned to the priority risks of the business.
  • Prepare and produce relevant management information reports to provide guidance on the compliance health and risks of the business to the Compliance Officer-Lux,to the Senior Management and to the Board(s).
  • Assist in the preparation and writing of the regulatory filings.
  • Recommend, where appropriate, improvements to policies, processes and practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer - Lux in performing periodic due diligence on delegates and branches .
  • Research of regulatory issues and provide appropriate advice and guidance and advice to internal stakeholders to assist in achieving / maintaining compliant operations and processes.

AML:
  • Review and maintain the AML Risk Appetite and AML Risk Assessment of MFS Lux and the investment funds.
  • Monitor AML compliance, and liaise with the Transfer Agent State Street Bank Luxembourg / IFDS where appropriate
  • Handle and review the KYC check related to the counterparties of MFS Lux
  • Prepare AML report and plan periodic review
  • Participate in projects that involve interactions across MFS, address concerns, present solutions and identify ways to mitigate risk exposure


JOB REQUIREMENTS :
  • Minimum of five years' compliance experience in the investment fund industry.
  • In depth knowledge of UCITS and AML/CFT regulatory requirements. Knowledge of MiFID requirements is a plus.
  • Strong writing, communication and influencing skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to operate independently taking ownership for the delivery of projects while also operating successfully in a cross-functional and international team environment is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, customer-service, team- working and problem- solving skills.
  • A sound knowledge of the UCITS governance framework in Luxembourg. .
  • Must be fully fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing), proficiency in French is a plus.
  • Education to degree level and with relevant professional qualifications preferred.
