Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Solution Sales are trusted advisors to Citi's Institutional Client Group (ICG) clients on domestic and international cash and trade management solutions.

The successful candidate's client portfolio will include public and private mid-sized corporates and global subsidiaries of offshore multi-national corporates.

Located in Melbourne, Australia the successful candidate will work within the CCB business and drive sales efforts of Citi's Treasury and Trade (TTS) products to meet the treasury objectives of our ICG clients.

TTS is the premier provider of cash and trade solutions to most of the world's largest and most sophisticated companies. Citi was recently awarded the Best Bank in Asia Pacific, 2021 by Global Finance magazine amongst numerous other awards.

CCB Australia primarily targets and covers internationally orientated mid-sized Australian companies that are well supported domestically by the local banks, but lack the support of global banks internationally.

The successful applicant needs to possess strong interpersonal skills, professional maturity, a sound knowledge of treasury and working capital, and have a good understanding of domestic and cross-border solutions.

You will also be expected to build strong relationships with key customer contacts and buying centres at different levels within organisations, respond to client tenders when issued, develop industry-specific sales strategies, cross-sell successful solutions into adjacent spaces, proactively originate, follow-up and close new sales opportunities, meet scorecard goals, and partner with CCB coverage, TTS product and FX teams to meet the objectives of the CCB business.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate cash management and trade sales professional, as it provides an opportunity to drive an important function within a growing CCB business in Australia and lead the development of our Melbourne coverage. Key skills and experiences required:
  • Thorough understanding of cash, trade and treasury management products and their application to large and sophisticated customer requirements
  • Thorough understanding of T&E and B2B card solutions preferred
  • Knowledge of cross-border and FX payments also preferred
  • Exposure to corporate banking as many solutions will form part of a larger corporate banking relationship/strategy for Citi
  • Understanding of the working capital cycle for corporate clients
  • Relevant transaction banking, product development, financial services sales / marketing or corporate banking experience preferred
