ACCOUNTING, CONTROL & REPORTING MANAGER
The mission of Renewables Control is to guarantee patrimonial security and to facilitate decision-making and the achievement of objectives through the generation of adequate economic information
RESPONSIBILITIES
The scope of the following responsibilities is the Portuguese companies within Iberdrola Renewables Business in Portugal:
* Management and Controlling of all financial/accounting operations.
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
* Coordinate and lead the preparation and publication of yearly Financial Statements.
* Liaison with External Agents such as external auditors, local outsourcers or local Tax authorities.
* Develop and document business processes to comply with Iberdrola Group accounting policies and internal controls.
* Act as the official accounting technician (TOC) of all the companies of the Iberdrola Group in Portugal
MAIN FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
* Financial & Analytical Accounting:
o Organization of Month End Close.
o Calculation & Processing of any Manual Accruals.
o Management & Control of Special/Extraordinary payments.
o Budget/Availability Control Administration.
o Master data creation/maintenance in SAP (e.g. new Analytical Orders, WBS, etc).
o Statutory Accounts.
o Liaison with External Audit.
o Liaison with local tax authorities or outsourcers.
o Completion of monthly Internal Control process
* Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
* Preparation of information and reporting to Iberdrola Renovables Control & Administration Departments (Accounting, Investments, Management Control, Consolidation).
* Provide support to the Portuguese Project Teams:
o Accounting technical support: Technical accounting advise on treatment of spend (CAPEX/OPEX) in SAP to ensure accurate project reporting in line with accounting standards.
o SAP purchasing administration
o Support Project Team and approve lease contracts in SAP through the Real Estate module
o Management of SLAs to recharge from Group Holding Companies intercompany services provided to the project.
o Support the Project Team in any other General Administration process.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
* Advanced degree in Accounting or Economics.
* Master's degree would be positively assessed.
* Accreditation to act as an official accounting technician (TOC).
* Deep knowledge of IFRS and Portuguese GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
* Experience with preparation and publication of financial statements.
* Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
-Portuguese. Mother language
-English. Full professional proficiency. Certificates and/or test may be required.
-Spanish. Positively assessed.
*Proven working experience as a Financial controller.
*7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience as auditor or similar.
