THE POSITION
Investment Strategy Team is a dedicated team of investment professionals managing multi asset and multi manager solutions for our clients and conducting differentiated research with a practitioner's mindset. The team includes strategists, researchers and portfolio managers within the Multi-Asset, Fundamental Factor and Next Generation Thematic platforms. The Investment Strategy group manages approximately $50 billion of client assets across a range of Multi-Asset, Thematic, Absolute Return, Income and Unconstrained portfolios. The teams provide bespoke research and advice across various topics such as asset allocation, fundamental factors, thematic investing, and manager research. They also manage various outcome oriented, factor, and thematic portfolios on behalf of clients.

As part of the continued growth of our Investment Strategy group, we are seeking to recruit an Analyst to join our Multi-Asset Portfolio Management team. This team member will be responsible for:
  • Working as a member of our Multi-Asset Portfolio Management team to drive positive investment performance and outcomes across client portfolios.
  • Contributing to the design and management of a range of multi-asset portfolios to meet clients' needs across channels and geographies.
  • Developing and utilizing portfolio construction, optimization, and risk management tools and analytics to drive investment decisions
  • Developing a deep understanding of internal investment capabilities and matching those to client investment needs.
  • Collaborating with our Multi Asset Research team and Manager Research team to bring insights to bear on client portfolios.
  • Interacting with key business partners at the firm deliver in order to deliver our capabilities to clients (e.g. Strategists, Product Management, Portfolio Coordinators, Investment Technology, Investment Science)
QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should have the following attributes and qualifications:
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience such as portfolio management, portfolio construction or risk management functions. Multi-Asset experience a plus.
  • Experience with quantitative analysis, programming, and modeling (e.g. skills in Python/ MATLAB/ etc.,) preferably with the intellectual curiosity and ability to build out frameworks and processes
  • Demonstrated agility and experience working with data and processes in a highly effective manner
  • Experience with portfolio construction techniques and ability to use and interpret risk models a plus
  • Proven ability to distil and synthesize information efficiently and to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • History of academic achievement. Technical degree (computational finance, computer science, etc.) is preferred. Master's Degree a plus. Progress towards a CFA charter preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a highly collaborative team where respectful debate is encouraged to best deliver client outcomes
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential traits as are versatility and creative problem solving
