About the Job
You will:
- Support compilation and tabulation of financial budget information
- Support implementation of investment initiatives and portfolio activities with respect to the Club's investment managers
- Act as the administrator the Research Management System and to support its related initiatives
- Collect, compile and ensure portfolio data are received on schedule; and verify and handle payment invoices from counterparties
- Support implementation of new project workflow by performing market research on industry practices and products/services relating to potential operational enhancements, documenting business and user requirements and assisting on project groundwork, due diligence, project implementation, and system & user testing
- Assist on compilation of compliance requirements and materials
- Organize service level requirements for external vendor engagement
- Coordinate with IT on system implementation and to resolve any IT-related issues
- Assist with monitoring of performance of custodian and other service providers and their deliverables
- Monitor the portfolio activities of fund managers against the stipulated investment guidelines
- Provide operational and administrative support for all asset classes
- To support implementation on portfolio rebalancing among the Club's multi- asset class portfolio and all matters related to account opening/closing with the custodian / administrators
- To reconcile and liaise with fund managers and custodians on all reporting package, and investigate on outstanding items
- To produce monthly management reports on a timely and periodic basis
- Maintain data integrity of portfolio management system
- To keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and ensure that the Club's accounting's policy and financial disclosure on all investments portfolios are conformed to the required standards
- To be responsible for the full set of accounting records for all the investment portfolios
- To review the standard and customized fund accounting reports provided by custodians / service providers to ensure accuracy before inputting into the Club's accounting system
- To liaise with corporate Treasury on all accounting matters impacting the investment portfolios
About You
You should have:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Experience with project management should be a plus
- At least 3 - 8 years of auditing /accounting/operations experience in the financial services industry
- Good exposure to investment products including preferably some exposure to alternative assets
- High proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, and be well versed with computer applications such as MS-office, Tableau, Python and other productivity tools e.g. (Alteryx / Xceptor)
- Capable of working independently, efficiently and effectively under pressure & within time constraints
- Team player who is self-motivated and detail oriented
