What's the Role?
The Global Majors Sales team manages the overall relationship for Tier 1 banks as well as Custody and Security Services firms. This market segment not only represents the largest product penetration within the Enterprise Data Solutions division but also exhibits fast-paced high growth potential that rivals emerging market clients. The impetus behind our tremendous growth trend is the overwhelming demand for high quality content and the next generation of technology deployment. With the proliferation of trends such as Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Sustainability within financial services industry, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established yet dynamic and growing part of our organization!

Sales Specialists on the Global Majors team will be responsible for the sales and retention of our referential, regulatory, pricing evaluation datasets and technology suite of offerings. This includes, but is not limited to, our security master datasets, company level content, ESG and sustainable investing datasets, valuation for OTC instruments as well as derivative market data and historical datasets. The Sales Rep is also responsible for selling technology solutions that enable Bloomberg content and services to be delivered to client's on prem applications, and/or cloud warehouse tenants. To be successful, you will have a proven track record of institutional selling, experience with respect to managing senior level relationships at major financial conglomerates, collaboration with multiple internal departments, proficiency in data and technology within the IB, IM and Asset Servicing workflow, and staying on top of evolving market trends. In addition, we are looking for someone who excels in a team environment and will be able to perform at the highest level under tight timelines and achieve sales targets.

We'll trust you to:
  • Develop and execute on sales strategy to drive annual sales and revenue targets for a defined territory
  • Work efficiently in a collaborative selling environment while maximizing the resources available to achieve success
  • Build and execute on sales strategies with other internal sales and account management groups
  • Proactively identify new pipeline opportunities and accurately maintain sales forecasts
  • Leverage your knowledge and skill set to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps, and recommend solutions; and deliver on revenue-generating and adoption/usage goals
  • Use market, product, and technical expertise to identify client needs
  • Produce clear, concise proposals with an appropriate level of detail that identify client needs, current workflow(s), the right offerings and commercials
  • Establish and execute a pipeline strategy for achieving sales targets through the appropriate stages of the sales cycle within your assigned client base
  • Build relationships across client organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
  • Balance engagements across the sales life-cycle to maintain desired pipeline levels for long, medium, and short-term sales

You'll Need to Have:
  • Strong product knowledge around Bloomberg's comprehensive data offerings
  • Experience in enterprise solutions selling in or to the financial markets
  • An ability to leverage product and domain knowledge to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps and recommend solutions
  • A passion for technology
  • Strong track record in consultative selling
  • Proven ability in accurate pipeline management from initial lead to close
  • Desire to continually learn and add new technical and selling skills
  • Highly motivated and target/quota driven
  • Ability for travel
