Senior Equity Research Analyst, Healthcare/Therapeutics

Craig-Hallum Capital Group is expanding our health care research franchise and seeking a Senior Equity Research Analyst. We are a premier, full-service small and mid-cap institutional research, trading and investment bank, with coverage of more than 300 companies. Craig-Hallum has an extensive healthcare team covering medical devices, life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare IT and healthcare delivery solutions. The right candidate will spearhead the expansion of our research platform in therapeutics including coverage of specialty pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Experience/Education/Credentials:

• 5+ years experience as an analyst (or rising junior associate) in the healthcare sector (buy-side or sell-side). Prior therapeutic coverage (large pharma, spec pharma, biotech) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics and/or a science background

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• Strong stock picking skills. As we are a research-driven shop, you pick the names you want to cover in areas where you feel you can add value.
• Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, ability to think critically under time constraints
• Ability to explain complex stories and ideas in a concise, actionable, easy-to-understand manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong financial modeling skills and in-depth experience with Excel and FactSet
