Job Objectives:
  • As part of Customer Segment & Customer Science, Regional Segments drives part of the strategic agenda to drive scalable growth within the Consumer Bank.
  • To do this, we make use of the latest developments in customer segmentation, distribution models as well as technology
  • This role encompasses two key areas:
    • Change the Bank: Driving strategic change through defining future proof, scalable regional operating models, process changes, and strategic shifts
    • Run the Bank: End to end responsible for driving the implementation of the change, including tracking of business results, and further optimization based on findings
Responsiblities:
  • Understanding of the business
    • Develop a good understanding of the consumer business in the region to deliver delta for the business
    • Dissect complex business situations to come up with recommendations with a focus on generating impact
    • Drive Customer Value Proposition as the blueprint for the business in the region to deliver our brand promise and quantify the delivery of our customer value proposition
  • Research and Insight generation
    • Consolidate information on the consumers, competitors and marketplace to produce comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses
    • Use these exploratory, forward-looking assessments to extract actionable insights to grow the business
    • Derive significant competitive advantage from a highly analytical approach and develop recommendations based on this analysis
    • Translate broad vision, situation or problem statement into tangible insights and plans to be communicated and executed and communicate to varied audience
    • Create insightful presentation that facilitates decision making for internal senior stakeholders
  • Execution and project management
    • Put in place a practical structure to enable speed and ease of implementation
    • Identify key areas for attention and ensure the right stakeholders are made aware and are equipped to act
  • Stakeholder management
    • Build effective relationship with stakeholders to influence in-market leads across various levels to act
    • Mobilise and activate a broader part of the organisation in the region towards the outcome
  • General skills
    • Demonstrate out of the box thinking, not accepting status quo, consistently looking for opportunities to improve/enhance areas of focus
    • Display, through attitude and past achievements, a strong initiative for pro-actively anticipating and meeting the business demands
Key Accountabilities:
  • Deliver direct positive impact to the business in terms of key outcomes: Customer Satisfaction and P&L
  • Develop measurement metric on Customer Value Proposition delivery and track for success
  • Deliver insights through research to future proof the business
  • Embodies the values of leadership, collaboration, team work and risk management
Requirements:
  • University level degree
  • 2-3 years experience in consultancy firm or internal consultant experiences would be a plus
  • Experience in design thinking / agile approach
  • Possess strong business acumen and writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesize information across a broad ecosystem to diagnose problems and devise solutions
  • Strong reading comprehension to interpret variety of documents and data
  • Ability to recognise issues and develop practical and creative solutions the move the needle for the business
  • Able to simplify and explain complex business and skilled in preparing effective and well-structured presentations with clear narratives to varied audience
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high intensity and ambiguous environment and possess a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • Appreciation for the consumer and front office behaviours and is familiar with forward industry trends and data-related innovations across the region
  • Strong in execution and proven track record of implementing cross-markets initiatives with degree of complexity
  • Hands-on experience in guiding and executing cross-functional initiatives to completion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in a regional role, managing multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Ability to multitask, be flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Interest in new technology that promotes forward thinking, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Build a risk management and control culture and ensure guidelines are adhered.
