Role description and opportunities

BNY Mellon is a leading provider of data and analytics financial products and technology solutions to a large, diverse and global client base. Scaling these and other new products is a core part of BNY Mellon's growth strategy.

The Digital Assets Marketing Manager is an instrumental new role in advancing new client and prospect opportunities and presenting BNY Mellon as a digital-first, technology-driven company. He/she will partner closely with senior leaders to drive the company's digital asset product positioning and go-to-market strategy through omnichannel programs that present BNY Mellon as a leader in innovative banking to our most strategic clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and manage the enterprise marketing strategy for digital asset products, including Digital Asset Custody, Execution, and Tokenization
  • Develop and deliver content strategy related to digital assets, including internal and external collateral such as white papers, podcasts, client-facing product documentation, press releases, etc.
  • Partner with marketing and communications colleagues to deliver value for business stakeholders in order to meet strategic business objectives by developing and executing campaign strategy
  • Build relationships with and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including marketing and communications colleagues at strategic partner firms, in order to deliver on co-branded content and events
  • Perform required project management and administrative duties to complete required marketing activities, including metrics and KPI tracking
  • Responsible for the financial resources of the area, ensuring adherence to budget and management of expenses
  • Assume responsibility for the outcome of functional or business initiatives. Quickly and decisively takes action while mitigating risk

Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of years of progressive demand generation experience in high-growth environments, preferably in the context of digital asset or fintechs
  • Agile approach to growth marketing and the ability to punch through ambiguity
  • High-functioning, proactive individual who can handle stressful situations. Effectively prioritizes multiple demands on their time. Transitions easily from day-to-day tasks to high profile, critical situations
  • Experience with B2B and B2C marketing programs
  • Highly analytical mind-set and attention to key metrics, including ability to run experiments and continuous testing in order to optimize performance
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with shared accountability and teams located in different geographies, with an appreciation of the requirements of a highly regulated financial institution
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; effective presentation skills
  • Commitment to excellence and hustle, balanced with a sense of humour
  • Bonus points for having a strong awareness of digital asset market landscape, both from digitally native and traditional financial service firms
