About this role

Your team

As a senior implementation consultant, you will be part of the Aladdin Business, Asia Pacific performing successful project implementations across multiple regional clients. As a member of the BlackRock family, eFront is on a path of exciting growth and development. The team is committed to growing BlackRock's exposure to Alternative Investments and providing new standards for Alternative Investments system implementation. You will integrate a dynamic and fast-growing team within the Client Services department to play a key role in driving the expansion of eFront solutions! The primary work location for this position is Melbourne.

Your role and impact
This role consists of leading/running eFront Implementation projects including hands-on business analysis, specifications delivery and implementation of the work in a timely manner to achieve high level of client satisfaction. Working across projects and teams, you will lead and participate in successful delivery and implementation of eFront solution suite. The role will give you the chance to work on our most challenging and exciting eFront projects, gaining both valuable experience and exposure within the company.

The highest level of client service is encouraged as you resolve client needs and collaborate with teammates and partners to exceed client expectations. With successful implementations in the region, you will help your clients in their daily usage of the eFront platform, providing high quality screens and modules to track their pipeline, define their investments and follow their portfolios. eFront stands out as a real career catalyst: we are at the crossroads between software and the thriving businesses of Alternative Investments!

Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for capture user requirements based on the project needs, crafting requirements documents and/or functional specifications, estimating effort for new features and providing a delivery plan.
  • Communicate requirements and actively set & handle expectations to ensure all team members and stakeholders are accountable for their role in the project's overall success.
  • Prepare project documentation such as Statement of work, Business specifications, weekly status reports, issue/risk logs, time analyses and analyzing/estimating project costs and forecasts.
  • To configure, test and deliver new business functions and reports on the eFront Invest platform. Working in collaboration with other eFront consultants to achieve common project goals.
  • Work with Product developers and support team to ensure best practices are implemented during the project implementations.
  • Effective overall responsibility for project delivery and management of key elements including scope, work, resources, timelines and budget.
  • Identify target milestones and create detailed project plans.
  • Manage and communicate all deviations from plan.
  • Monitor and control projects by actively identifying, tracking, managing, mitigating and resolving project issues and risks - provide the requested internal and external reporting.
  • Conduct project meetings, collaborate with project team members to build consensus on challenging issues
  • Manage key stakeholders on customer site by setting appropriate expectations, ensure proper communication and handle crisis.
  • Participate into the sales cycle to build and present services value proposition to the prospects.


You have:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (ie. Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher - IT/Computer related degree
  • At least 8 years of experience in the software services industry or in financial industry.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business analysis and software project/product implementation experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively as part of a team
  • Technical proficiency in range of technologies including .NET (VB, C#, ASP.NET), SQL
  • Keen interest or background in Financial Services, Private Equity, Real Estate
  • Project Management qualifications such as : PMBOK, PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, Prince 2
