What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, develop and execute software and system tests to identify technical issues and provide remediation.
• Participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
• Undertake testing of controls to validate design, operating effectiveness, and sustainability of controls.
• Challenge annual control self-assessments performed by business units and functions.
• Articulate testing results, escalate issues, and develop actions plans to mitigate identified risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders within chief control office, business units, functions, risk teams, and internal audit personnel to ensure controls testing is undertaken efficiently and with minimum impact on business as usual activities.
• Assist and support development of control testing plans and independently write controls testing reports.
• Prepare and deliver controls testing reviews in accordance with quality and timeline expectations, accounting for accuracy of data within Controls Testing Tool (CTT).
• Represent controls testing and execution team in meetings and working groups.
• Execute product and thematic control testing reviews across U.S. Cards and Payments business, challenging control design and operating effectiveness.

What we're looking for:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related Information Technology field of study and at least five (5) years of experience performing Information Technology testing and auditing within the financial services industry. In the alternative, will accept any level of education and at least seven (7) years of experience performing Information Technology testing and auditing within the financial services industry.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience with each of the following required skills:

• Risk and control assessment techniques;
• Reviewing and assessing controls based on IT security policy, procedures, and standards;
• Analyzing controls based on data and applying data analytics to aggregate data;
• Performing control design assessments;
• Developing test plans;
• Credit Cards, Collection, and Deposits businesses to analyze implications and gaps in controls;
• Managing assurance projects;
• Delivering projects utilizing Agile methodology including Scrum and XP.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Wilmington, DE location at 125 South West Street. At Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington, DE Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christiana River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
