Exciting opportunity to join our Execution Services team as a Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst. We are a trading organization providing execution and other trading services to internal asset management clients, with more than $650B in AUM. Our traders work closely with the investment teams, support, quant research and engineering, as we continue to evolve our trading processes, develop our industry-leading trading technology and apply rigorous quantitative and market structure research to ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions across a wide range of products.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the design and delivery of a wide range of reports in support of the trading organization.

Commission Management

  • Produce and distribute monthly overall commission statements to Trading and Senior Management
  • Prepare Soft Dollar activity reconciliations
  • Produce and distribute quarterly client reports, and quarterly and annual board reports, on commission activity, including soft dollars
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory regimes regarding client commission usage across all relevant global markets
  • Implement, oversee and report on all client-directed commission requests, while ensuring compliance with all strategy-based target percentage guidelines


Brokerage Activity Reporting

  • Produce monthly Dashboard Reports for Investment Team Leads, Trading and Senior Management
  • Produce Broker Briefing Reports as needed to support Senior management, PM and Trading dialogue with sell-side counterparties
  • Continuously review, update and consolidate existing activity reports and dashboards to reflect current needs, convey relevant insight and limit unnecessary redundancy


Benchmarking I Ensuring Alignment with Industry Best Practices

  • Develop and maintain understanding of market structure globally and across asset classes.
  • Coordinate participation in trading benchmark surveys
  • Collaborate with consultants/benchmark vendors to review and update survey questions to reflect current relevant industry trends
  • Leverage existing relationships with consultants/benchmark vendors to increase the breadth and depth of relevant benchmarking data regarding brokerage practices, commission usage and order handling practices, while identifying and developing new sources of relevant data and insight
  • Manage internal record of benchmarking data and monitor tracking reports for indicated changes


PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience with Institutional Trading, TCA, Commission Management and Regulation.
  • Experience in reporting across asset classes, globally.
  • Degree in computer science, statistics or similar.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a reporting or analytical function.
  • Expertise in dealing with large data sets and strong analytical skills.
  • Collegial and collaborative disposition - team player!
  • Great presentation skills - be able to present findings to a wide range of audiences.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred.
  • 10 + years total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in quantitative finance and technology preferred.
