Your team
You would be working in our Alternative Funds team (covering EMEA & Switzerland) and be based in London or Dublin, assisting UBS with the legal and regulatory obligations related to the funds we establish and manage. We're responsible for advising colleagues in UBS Asset Management, which is a leading fund house in Europe with over USD 1 trillion in invested assets.
Your expertise
• solicitor / lawyer qualified in England and Wales, Ireland, or other common law jurisdiction(s)
• 5 to 6 years' relevant investment funds experience- prior private practice experience would be a plus
• technical expertise and/or familiarity with regulatory issues including AIFMD, MIFID, ESG
• strong academic track record
• excellent command of English is a must, a good command of German or Italian would be a plus
• ability to persuade and influence internal client base in the provision of advice and manage internal client base's expectations.
• demonstrate a commercial outlook, good judgment, and common sense
• a team player who is personable, motivated, curious to learn and takes initiative
• comfortable working in a dynamic environment and handling multiple tasks
• result-oriented and assertive (not shying away from challenging situations)
• clarifies tasks and requirements, organises time and manages workload to ensure deadlines are met
• communicates effectively in verbal and written form and is personable
