About this role

Global Consultant Relations ("GCR") is responsible for driving new business through relationships with investment consultants and new business proposals. GCR Relationship Managers engage across senior management, field consultants and research teams to build conviction in our capabilities and ensure that BlackRock is a key partner in delivering investment solutions for consultants and their clients across all asset classes. GCR is represented globally across the US & Canada, EMEA, and APAC.

GCR is seeking a Vice President responsible for Sales Strategy within the USCA GCR COO team. You will be central to the team's success and responsible for defining and executing upon commercial and strategic objectives, including delivering consultant intelligence and insights alongside sales best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of the GCR business strategy
  • Develop executive presentations that communicate our strategy and progress to senior audiences
  • Deliver consultant intelligence through research and knowledge of the consultant market, client trends and competitor dynamics
  • Shape and organize sales training program for relationship managers
  • Lead strategic projects (e.g. account planning, assessing commercial opportunities)
  • Build relationships with client and investment team partners to provide an overview of consultant insights and opportunities/challenges


Experience & Qualifications :
  • Strong understanding of asset management industry and institutional investment marketplace
  • 5+ years of experience in sales strategy or working with consultants and/or institutional clients
  • Proven ability to drive decision-making, manage complexity and prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Strong communicator who can develop and drive business wide messaging
  • Effective teammate who is able to work with professionals at all levels
  • High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
  • BA/BS degree in related field - MBA/CFA/CAIA desirable
