Why this role is important to us
You will be joining State Street Digital, our new division that combines advanced trading technology, best execution and servicing expertise with proprietary market research and insights to support clients in decentralized financial markets. Together with other teams across our company, you will be working on the evolution of our award-winning GlobalLink technology platform into a multi-asset solution that will include crypto, central bank digital currency, blockchain and tokenization.

What you will be responsible for
As Head of Development for GlobalLink Digital , the ideal candidate will be:
• Responsible for long-term technical platform vision and strategy
• Responsible for driving any initiatives while appropriately managing costs
• Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the architecture and influencing technology decisions not only within the platform but also across GlobalLink
• Responsible for managing and continuing to hire and build a team of dedicated developers (full time employees and contractors) globally
• Responsible for goal setting and performance reviews and mentoring individuals
• Responsible for managing, maintaining, and updating all IT related IT Audit CATS and/or Archer items ensuring proper tracking from inception to completion.
• Responsible for establishing best practices, clean-code and design patterns.

What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role:
• Individual should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent
• Individual should have at least 6 or more years of demonstrated hands-on leadership experience building state-of-the-art and high performance web frontends and container ( using Finsemble/OpenFin/Electron) based desktop applications.
• Hands-on experience in building multi-platform UI products with effective interaction and innovative user journeys.
• Solid understanding of the modern JavaScript build tool chain using things like node, npm, rush, yarn, webpack, babel, Jenkins etc.
• Hands-on experience working with Javascript, TypeScript, Websocket, React, Material UI, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS and/or other modern cloud based infrastructure.
• Experience in SSO/Identify Management integration
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
