Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure surveillance and controls adhere to regional surveillance framework.
  • Manage and execute advisory surveillance plans in accordance with internal and regulatory standards, provide constructive advice to stakeholders to ensure risk and control issues are escalated and resolved properly.
  • Build and nurture strong awareness and competency in advisory culture and conduct, in line with best practices and internal and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Actively contribute to CBG SG's transformative, customer-centric agenda by embracing data-driven mindset and managing through horizontal organization and data-driven operating models.

Responsibilities
  • To conduct surveillance control checks and any ad-hoc control-assurance check with focus on Treasures wealth segment.
  • Assess and identify any internal control weakness and implement the necessary rectification or changes in control procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to identify risks / gaps and to establish effective internal controls.
  • Participate in projects representing Advisory Surveillance team for control assurance requirement.
  • Ensure timely execution of advisory surveillance and effective communication with stakeholders on risk findings and appropriate rectifications.
  • Effective use of data to identify risks and establish effective and focused internal controls. Look beyond traditional "rules-based" queries and analytics to establish robust continuous monitoring.
  • Review, update and implement related policies, procedures, and control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of control tower, management reports to enable effective advisory surveillance, draw insights from data analytics:
    • Proactively identify ways to prevent and detect control lapses, potential risks by leveraging information in the Bank's data asset
    • Provide analysis and recommendations to develop and finetune advisory surveillance framework
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of enhancements related to advisory processes and controls.
  • Prepare Advisory Surveillance reports for management.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in consumer banking environment, with field experience of risk & controls management, internal audit or compliance.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of banking and financial services regulatory requirements and best practices (such as MAS Financial Advisors' Act, Securities and Futures' Act, "FAIR" Balanced Scorecard Framework).
  • Experience in consumer banking wealth segment would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent, innovative and adaptive.
