Morgan Stanley at Work provides Corporate Clients and their participants with administrative, recordkeeping, and execution services for their Stock Option Plans, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and Restricted Awards Plans. With administration services, MS at Work provides on-going administrative support to Corporate Clients that includes report delivery as well as daily assistance with administrative and operational matters.
The SSO Shareworks Operations team is responsible for providing back office operational functions for the Morgan Stanley at Work business. MS at Work has recently completed the full migration of all of their stock plan corporate clients to the Shareworks administrative platform which includes 300 active corporate clients.
Efforts are currently underway to prepare for the sun-setting of the previously used platform which includes several data archiving initiatives. SSO Shareworks Operations provides varying levels of support to functions including but not limited to, settlement, share delivery, cash management, billing, reconciliation, and document fulfillment in support of corporate clients on this new platform.
In addition, the business provides comprehensive solutions to the growing needs of their clients, including those added as part of the recent Solium and E*Trade acquisitions.
These acquisitions position MS at Work as the lead provider in stock plan administration services, and provides the business and their Financial Advisor network new leads to capture Wealth Management retail client opportunities.
For this reason, SSO Shareworks Operations will need to replace a Director level employee to handle an existing role and provide day to day support with some of these functions.
In addition, the SSO Shareworks Operations Director will support the management and update of procedures documents, participate in various special projects and prepare Runbooks and timelines, and assist with identifying areas and processes where enhancement and/or automation would prove beneficial.
PRIMARY DUTIES
-Participate in any projects or other operating committees
-Support UAT team for testing new developments
-Handle Statistical Reporting, Capacity Planning and metrics preparation submitted to Senior Management
-Create process development opportunities by tracking and submitting ideas and solutions based on observation and analysis
-Contribute to refining controls and continuously improving and reducing risk for the team and other operational areas within stock plans
Qualifications:
-5 years + of relevant industry experience ? brokerage operations
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Must be detail oriented as well as a logical and proactive thinker
-Must be able to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
-Proficiency on Microsoft Word and Excel
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Client-centric and a Team oriented player
Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.
This role requires that all successful applicants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment and provide proof of such vaccinations within 3 days of commencement of employment.
