For over thirty years the Global Allocation Team has been providing returns competitive with global equities with substantially lower levels of volatility. Global Allocation is unconstrained in search of opportunity and employs a flexible, disciplined, and risk-aware approach in the pursuit of building a more efficient portfolio for its Clients. The Strategy was designed to be a core holding for investors seeking long term growth.

Within APAC, the Team manages over $5 billion in AUM across 200 clients in over 10 countries. The GA Product Strategy team is responsible for representing the investment team within Asia to both retail and institutional clients. Critical to the success of the team is the maintenance of strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including institutional and retail distribution teams, marketing teams across the region, various APAC compliance teams, and the ability to connect-the-dots globally for a strategy that is distributed in over 40 countries worldwide.

The GA Product Strategy team is looking to add an Associate/Vice President dedicated to the APAC market to support the continued growth of the platform. This team member will work closely with the team's US-based global strategists helping to identify and support areas of strategic expansion and relay back information surrounding risks and opportunities, as well as regulatory changes, and key new competitors to the global team.

Job Purpose/Background:
The position holder will be focusing primarily on the commercialization, growth and development of the Global Allocation franchise within APAC. This includes the BGF Global Allocation Fund, BGF Global Dynamic Equity Fund, and the soon to-be-launched BGF Sustainable Global Allocation Fund.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate as part of the GA Product Strategy team utilizing best practices in terms of philosophy and process while contributing to evolution and development
    • Assistance with RFP/RFI documents.
    • Assistance with ad hoc client and sales team requests (portfolio information, portfolio positioning/market views, etc.).
    • Assistance with month-end and quarter-end deliverables.
    • Thought leadership dissemination: identifying global marketing material and working to localize the content for each APAC market.
      • Identify marketing opportunities and partner with marketing and distribution to bring this to the local market.
    • Guidance and assistance around local compliance procedures.
      • Ensure presentations and other documents are sent through the proper compliance channels in a timely manner and work to scale the process within Asia.
  • Build partnership and strong working relationship with counterparts around the region
    • Be the ambassador for the APAC Global Allocation Team and BLK GFI more broadly
    • Represent Global Allocation in sales meetings to help ensure the products are top-of-mind.
    • Work closely with local sales teams to help plan and identify new opportunities for Fund updates.
  • Monitor competitive universe: Run Fund analytics/risk metrics versus our competitors, and draft competitive positioning points for our strategies
  • Aspire to become a client-facing strategist.
    • The position holder would be expected to work to be client facing within 12 months.
    • The position may ultimately require up to 10-15% travel depending on post-pandemic client business needs
