Our client is a global, Private Capital manger, headquartered in the US but now looking to build its presence in Australia. Globally they have an enviable track record in Growth Equity and Private Capital. As part of their growth plans, the Australian business will focus on Private Credit, Direct Lending, Distressed Opportunities and Growth Equity. The firm takes an opportunistic view of investment opportunities and has the ability to work across the capital structure.
Supporting the Head of Australia, there is a current requirement to build the Investment team with 3 hires at the Analyst, Associate and VP level. The team will initially focus on the mid-market Private Credit and Growth Equity space and invest across a number of industry sectors. With committed capital ready to be deployed, the team has the ability to work quickly to establish their presence in the investment market in Australia. They are looking to secure talented and driven individuals who are eager to join this newly established team as it builds out its investments.
As an Analyst / Associate you will have ideally gained between 2 & 6 years work experience across debt advisory, restructuring, leveraged finance or credit investing and will be able to work autonomously, think commercially and display detailed financial analytical capability and attention to detail. You will be comfortable operating in a small local team as part of a global firm and will have excellent communication skills.
As a VP you will likely have 6-8 years relevant work experience, ideally already be working in a credit investing capacity or could be an experienced debt advisory or restructuring specialist who can lead and manage transaction processes, lead client engagement and work with investment committees and stakeholders.
These roles represent a unique opportunity to grow the Australian business of this highly successful global investment manager.
For a confidential discussion or to apply for these roles please contact Ali Roger on 02 9235 9450 or aroger@jmichel.com.au
Applicants must have full working rights in place for Australia to be considered for these opportunities
