Prime EFG middle office analyst

As a Barclays Middle Office Analyst, you will support the Equity Financing desk in Hong Kong. Equity finance consists of the Stock Borrow/Loan (SBL) and Secured-Funding (SF), You will be responsible for daily exposure and collateral management, inventory management, pre-matching and fail management and exceptions and breaks management. You will be involved in the resolution of queries raised by our traders, internal and external counterparties, product control group and technology teams.

What will you be doing?

• Managing inventory by coordinating with the SBL desk and trade capture team to ensure you cover short balances
• You will be responsible for Exposure and collateral management by running exposure reports, arranging margin calls and managing collateral movement
• You will manage fails by following up on failing SBL and SF trades and ensuring that all fails are cleared on timely basis
• You will be pre-matching on new trades; following-up on pre-matching issues and enabling SBL and SF trades settling on time
• Arranging recalls and returns and notifying counterparties
• You will review breaks and exceptions and work on resolution and will also review and resolve SBL contract related breaks
• Managing Triparty recalls and pledges and agreeing collateral requirement with counterparty
• Managing daily cash pool movement and arrange payment

What we're looking for:

• Experience in cross cultural working environment
• Two to three years of good exposure in prime service middle office operations; preferably working in SBL area before
• Product knowledge in Equity financing, i.e. SBL and secured funding
• Knowledge in the Asian market settlement process

• Good communication skills (verbal and written), experience dealing the traders would be a plus
