Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Recommend and implement fixed income investment strategies with measurable contribution to the business (including expanding investment universe and identifying major credit/sector/asset class trend)
  • Monitor industry and economic and interest rate trends and use own judgement to recommend investment strategies
  • Able to explain the Fixed Income portfolio outperformance or underperformance and monitor the budgeted new purchase yield/OPAT Fixed Income and propose actions to resolve the gaps
  • Monitor BU fixed income and private equity limits so to ensure compliance or seek exception where appropriate
  • Ensure proper articulation of the intention of asset strategies in the asset and portfolio mandates and drive review on portfolio mandates to update restriction & waivers (e.g. target spread, rating & duration of portfolios)
  • Contribute positively to discussion in the Monthly and Quarterly Fixed Income, Equity, and Private Equity portfolios review meetings, SAA/TAA meetings, and ALM/ALCO/FRC/IC meetings
  • Contribute positively to the end-to-end product development life-cycle (such as PLP) by working closely with BU representatives from Proposition, Marketing, Channel (Agency/Broker), and Actuarial team
  • You are required to obtain relevant licence if your job involves in regulated activities

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields with at least 15 years of credit analysis experience in insurance and global financial institutions, with a sound knowledge of credit analysis and corporate finance techniques
  • Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are preferable
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight and handle multiple demands
  • Good communication skill and fluent in English
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
