Fund Services

This wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Stanley administers over $200 billion of hedge fund assets. Using the Firm's proprietary, globally accessible technology platform, the business provides a full range of fund administration services, including daily accounting and financial reporting; transfer agency and investor services; middle and back-office support; and integrated portfolio analytics. Morgan Stanley Fund Services is supported by more than 1000 professionals based in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dublin, Glasgow, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

We are seeking a candidate to join our Documentation Team based out of Hong Kong. The Documentation Team works closely with all groups within the Fund Services business unit. These include accounting and investor services professionals, tax, risk, and transition management. Interaction with Morgan Stanley's legal department is also common. Direct communication with clients and their counsel is a regular component of the role. The position involves support for the preparation, management and maintenance of various documentation across a wide range of clients.

job responsibilities include:
  • Drafting and negotiating administration and service agreements, other ancillary agreements including NDAs, as well as amendments to such agreements;
  • reviewing client's fund offering, organizational and subscription documentation; and working with internal teams to provide fund structuring comments to clients, their counsel and other advisors;
  • collecting and reviewing client onboarding documentation, including those relating to ownership and control, tax, and AML/KYC;
  • coordinating the review and resolution of issues/questions that arise from clients within the investor services, accounting, regulatory/legal and AML areas (including, but not limited to, FINRA new issues, ERISA benefit plan status, pledged accounts, asset transfers, sanctions, etc.).
