Municipal Bond Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) role coordinates efforts with the investment team, product marketing, product management and product development.
Responsibilities
• Partner closely with Municipal Investment teams/leads and viewed as proxy Portfolio Managers. Meet with clients, prospectus and/or intermediaries to explain the investment philosophy, process and performance of specific investment products.
• Provide updates on the overall financial market performance, economic trends and the firms economic outlook.
• Develop and implement new/existing product strategies which include the identification of advisor/client needs, industry trends, development and expansion of product solutions, oversight of compliance/due diligence, marketing, advisor training, sales and service for assigned product lines. Lead the negotiation of contracts, agreements and service level agreements with internal and external vendors/partners.
• Ensure ongoing compliance of regulatory and legal requirements for assigned product lines. Maintains relationships with intermediary sales, institutional sales, national accounts, compliance, finance, and other business partners.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree
• Strong fixed income knowledge and demonstrated track record of success in raising assets
• 10+ years financial services experience, preferably in product development, client portfolio management or portfolio management
• Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders across a matrix internal environment, as well as third parties
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills to solve complex problems and identify new product solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
