We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Conduct, North Asia.

Principal Responsibilities
  • A key member of the GPB ASP CCO team and acting as a delegate / deputy to the CCO
  • Support the GPB ASP EXCO in defining, implementing and managing a conduct and culture plan
  • Help to enhance the sales culture that addresses the increasing regulatory expectations on the sales of investment products to clients
  • Lead and manage a team supporting key conduct initiatives including sales quality thematic reviews, complaint handling and training to front line staff
  • Support senior management through proactive advice based on risk and control knowledge and insights and present risk management solutions where appropriate
  • Help the business to avoid poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours, and in particular support the streamlining and digitalization of key controls
  • Manage the implementation of data analytics tools in GPB supporting sales quality review
  • Promoting desired behaviours and a positive risk culture, and supporting the delivery of the conduct outcomes

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of investment products sold within the private bank
  • Knowledge and experience dealing with digital initiatives
  • Ability to deal effectively with senior and executive management, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSBC Group Standards and values
  • Able to multi-task and deal with competing priorities often in ambiguous conditions, and solve problems effectively
