We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Conduct, North Asia.
Principal Responsibilities
- A key member of the GPB ASP CCO team and acting as a delegate / deputy to the CCO
- Support the GPB ASP EXCO in defining, implementing and managing a conduct and culture plan
- Help to enhance the sales culture that addresses the increasing regulatory expectations on the sales of investment products to clients
- Lead and manage a team supporting key conduct initiatives including sales quality thematic reviews, complaint handling and training to front line staff
- Support senior management through proactive advice based on risk and control knowledge and insights and present risk management solutions where appropriate
- Help the business to avoid poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours, and in particular support the streamlining and digitalization of key controls
- Manage the implementation of data analytics tools in GPB supporting sales quality review
- Promoting desired behaviours and a positive risk culture, and supporting the delivery of the conduct outcomes
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of investment products sold within the private bank
- Knowledge and experience dealing with digital initiatives
- Ability to deal effectively with senior and executive management, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong people management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSBC Group Standards and values
- Able to multi-task and deal with competing priorities often in ambiguous conditions, and solve problems effectively
