The ideal candidate will be required to develop the commercial business plan covering the UK market across a diversified range of clients' segments excluding retail and advisory intermediaries.
The segments in focus will be primarily fund buyers, discretionary wealth managers, private banks, family offices, public institutions, pension funds, endowments, investment consultants.
The tasks will include the identification of relevant target markets and key commercial priorities in order to:
1) Acquire new business relationships
2) Grow assets under management
3) Establish a commercial best practice in the region
Responsibilities:
Develop our UK institutional and distribution business development
Directly prospect investors
Develop and deepen relationships with the local consultants' research teams and leverage existing relationships and recommendations from such consultants.
Identify new business opportunities based on a comprehensive understanding of investment breadth and capabilities.
Subsequently draw on appropriate plan of action to introduce the firm to the largest investors' community
Represent our in investment process and technical presentations delivered to clients and prospects
Coordinate the use of other investment and marketing resources
Support senior management in growing and maintaining regular understanding of the key market trends and investment needs in the region under responsibility.
An experienced business development professional with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
An established track record of growing assets under management as a consequence of a highly professional and investment-led approach to new business development and cross-selling.
Ability to prove strong commercial acumen and operate autonomously with entrepreneurial flair combined with a disciplined and organised approach.
Evidence of a deep market knowledge as well as specific business and industry dynamics and regulatory issues.
Passionate about understanding client issues and the process of working with clients to find an appropriate solution.
Experience of working in a similarly international asset management environment appreciating the need to interact with a multi-national team while leveraging decentralised support functions.
