About our client
Our client is a highly capitalised alternative asset management group in London that invests in a variety of investment strategies. It is an innovative group, is experiencing explosive growth, and has ambitious plans for the future. It is now looking to hire a Product Development Manager to join its growing team of product specialists who focus on both retail and institutional products.
This role will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to make a meaningful contribution and gain first-hand experience of working across a range of products and investment strategies.

What the job involves
  • Working with investment, marketing, sales, and other teams across the fund to assist with the launch of new products
  • Carrying out market mapping exercises to support product development activities, considering new areas of focus for the fund and identifying investor demand
  • Complete product information requests from financial advisers, as well as retail and institutional due diligence questionnaires on the fund's products, across both public and private equity
  • Producing competitor analysis reports, both for existing products and prospective new products and presenting to interested parties, including Sales and senior management where applicable
  • Responsible for preparing and tracking the funds raised and other quarterly reporting figures
  • Assisting with the preparation of product papers for approval by funds Product Governance

Who we are looking for
  • Educated to degree standard, preferably in business/economics/legal-related subjects but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to learn about the business and product range, and to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Intermediate level proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Financial services experience is desirable but not essential
