Description of the Business Line or Department
  • A team of Investment Managers (IMs) and Assistant Investment Managers (AIMs).
  • IMs work with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and Wealth Planners (WPs) to provide investment solutions (Discretionary (DPM) and Advisory (ADV)) to clients and prospects.


Summary of responsibilities
  • Clear overdrafts
    • Review list of overdrawn accounts and discuss appropriate actions with relevant portfolio managers.
    • Take relevant actions to rectify overdrafts


  • Operating Risk and Regulatory responsibilities
    • Carry out permanent supervision checks on portfolio investment processes.
    • Perform all duties in line with KH procedures.
    • Comply with relevant jurisdiction regulation and always treat customers fairly.


  • Marketing materials
    • Update investment and other marketing materials.


  • Product knowledge
    • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the KH investment proposition; process, strategies, service tiers.
    • Contribute as appropriate to asset class committees


  • Report on Investment Performance
    • Support Investment Managers with ad hoc performance analysis.


  • Management Information
    • Produce management information on IM activities as required.


  • Client Communication
    • Contribute to written client materials as required.
    • Answer ad-hoc client queries as required.
    • Attend client meetings with investment managers as required.
  • Provide ad hoc coverage other IM desks as may be required; Execution Only, Strategy, Portfolio Implementation
  • Comply with the regulations, rules and procedures, internal and external applicable in the context of its function and follow the compulsory training.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the principles outlined in the SG Code of Conduct, as well as the policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities, to ensure that you adhere to a culture that treats clients fairly and focuses on the long term sustainability of client relationships.


Competencies

  • Basic understanding of all major asset markets (equities, bonds, FX, commodities, hedge funds)
  • Basic understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction principles
  • Basic understanding of investment risk management issues
  • Basic knowledge of UK regulatory framework
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Competency with Microsoft Office programs (in particular Excel)
