Based in Hong Kong, the Investment Management Services (IMS) department is seeking a highly self-motivated analyst to support the discretionary portfolio management (DPM) team.
DPM manages a significant pool of client capital across 13 model strategies implemented using a broad range of securities ranging from direct securities, fund of funds and structured products.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager within DPM and conduct credit analysis via desktop and field fundamental research i.e. financial statement analysis, investor calls, engage with Morgan Stanley's institutional research analysts, engage with the issuers directly.
- Understand the credit risk drivers, industry conditions and macroeconomics, make investment recommendations to the portfolio management team.
- Prepare investment memos and portfolio review materials.
- Conduct portfolio reviews with client.
- Trade implementation and post-trading and portfolio monitoring
- Conduct on-going due-diligence of the portfolios underlying investments
- Create and update marketing materials, portfolios performance updates and prepare portfolios proposals
- Assist senior management with business development projects and planning as and when required
