Job Purpose Statement

Where you'll fit in & what our team goals are...

We are hiring a Senior Manager in respect of Client Accounting within Real Estate Operations with responsibility for the ongoing end to end specialist operational support to the UK Real Estate business. This role reports to the Head of Real Estate Operations.

Role Responsibilities

How you'll spend your time...

Senior Manager responsible for two of four Client Accounting Teams and the provision of end-to-end specialist operational support to the UK Real Estate Business. Role responsibilities include:
  • Accountable for all aspects of running the designated Client Accounting teams including dealing with complex issues as they arise
  • Client Accounting; NAV, pricing and financial statements across numerous asset-holding vehicles, master funds and feeders (potentially JPUTs, partnerships, PAIFs, unit linked life companies, pensions funds, Jersey companies, RAIFs and SICAVs) and potentially across multiple jurisdictions;
  • Taxation; VAT, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Non-residents Scheme Tax, Capital Allowances etc.
  • External reporting; Client, loan provider, depositary/trustee and regulatory reporting;
  • Internal reporting; Management reporting for example liquidity monitoring and reporting;
  • Performance measurement; MSCI and PPFI
  • Input in to oversight and relationship management of key suppliers; including trustee, depositary, administrator , valuer, auditor
  • Monitoring investment restriction/guidelines compliance
  • Administration of certain fund vehicles; meetings, board papers and filing
  • Responsible for management of 2 direct reports and accountability for the relevant Client Accounting Teams with headcount of c. 10 including recruitment, training, motivation and development.
  • Responsible for Client Accounting Team planning, working actively alongside peers in order to manage projects/change and achieve the strategic goals of the Real Estate business including business growth and operational excellence.
  • To represent the department internally and externally; including with internal CTI departments, board meetings, committee meetings and key investors.


Key Capabilities

To be successful in this role you will have...
  • Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Experience in Asset Management/Financial Services environment
  • Experience working with UK Real Estate funds
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team with multiple competing priorities
  • Client Focus driven
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Proven ability to drive through improvements to the risk and control environment
  • Forward thinking with excellent planning skills
  • Self starter, deadline driven and can work on own initiative
