Business Function
Group Strategic Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.
At DBS, we believe that as a purpose driven organisation, we can make a real positive difference in the communities we operate in, and in so doing, contribute to the bank's broader sustainability agenda.
We are looking to further dial up our efforts to support the community in 2022, through creating some flagship programmes and initiatives in the areas of Education, Elderly and Environment. These initiatives build on our existing efforts to support social enterprises, our People of Purpose corporate volunteerism movement and our bank-wide initiative Towards Zero Food Waste.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of flagship programmes to create social impact through working with external and internal partners, including defining outcomes, impact measures, and developing an operational framework and criteria to evaluate which initiatives/programmes we focus on.
  • Align and agree the overall outcomes, framework, KPIs and targets for the year, follow a data-driven approach to track and measure progress.
  • Work with the cross-functional team both in SG and regionally, to execute these plans for the year as well as develop an integrated comms plan to leverage and communicate them both externally and internally.
  • Engage with regional GSMC colleagues to align and execute collective outcomes, focus areas, and plans through the year.
  • Continually enhance and streamline the volunteer journey to drive higher employee engagement, through leveraging and enhancing POP Connect as a central platform.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a corporate environment, specifically in the area of community impact, volunteerism and/or communications.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the community, engaging people and able to inspire people to action.
  • Excellent story-telling, writing and communications skills; familiarity with Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus.
  • Experience in working and developing partnerships with social enterprises/social service organisations/NGOs/government.
  • Must be able to work independently in a lean team, with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
