Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets - Real Estate is a global investor and manager of real estate assets. The team consists of approximately 230 high performing and motivated employees across circa 20 cities globally. The business manages +US$25 billion of assets, across two distinct investment strategies - core / core plus; and opportunistic. While we always take a pragmatic approach to investing, we are currently focused on sectors that we believe are supported by structural tailwinds (multi-housing, logistics/industrial, office and data centers).

As a Transactions Analyst within the Iberian real estate team , you will be an integral part of the European team working on matters regarding real estate asset management. Our Iberian team , based in Madrid is responsible for transactions across all acquisitions & dispositions.

Your responsibilities will require you to:
  • create financial underwriting models for real estate transactions (acquisition and disposition).
  • use your capacity to evaluate potential investment / divestment opportunities based on existing market knowledge.
  • coordinate internal due diligence processes and administration and utilize your basic understanding of legal, tax, technical and environmental issues.
  • coordinate internal acquisition processes, specifically in the preparation of internal documents such as pipeline sheets, allocation papers, investment committee docs, sales recommendation etc.
  • prepare and communicate reports into a comprehensive narrative to be presented to senior management.
  • providing support as required for the ongoing asset management of each investment.

Your relevant practical experience in real estate asset management and/or investment management and your strong understanding in international real estate markets will be essential in this role.

Your technical competencies, particularly in excel and your advanced knowledge of Argus (could live here with a less advanced knowledge of Argus) will be vital for success in this position. Your ability to deal with complex group structures whilst working on a variety of projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team is important in this role. It will be expected that you will utilize your basic understanding of legal, tax, technical and environmental issues.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be a highly motivated, proactive and resilient individual. You will demonstrate sound business judgement and possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Finally, you will be degree-educated, preferably in business administration, finance, law or real estate and you will be fluent in English / Spanish .
