The Impact:
The Solution Train Engineer position at S&P Global works with senior stakeholders and team members across regions to facilitate the delivery of customer value. The Solution Train Engineer contributes significantly to their success by acting as a servant leader and coaching towards continuous improvement while executing on business priorities and ensuring successful flow and delivery of value for our clients.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will be working with a team of enthusiastic members supporting our critical technology systems and guiding our business partners & end users with industry best practices, solution design, and creating long term value to our customers.
  • Act as a servant leader to development teams
  • Educate Agile Release Trains and Agile teams to maximize efficiency and performance from Scaled Agile practices and values
  • Coach Agile scrum / Kanban teams in self-organization and continuous improvement
  • Guide the teams to consistently deliver customer value
  • Manage risks, mitigate impediments, and negotiate dependencies within and across development teams
  • Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
  • Facilitate events including planning, system demos, inspect and adapt events, and team synchronization
  • Work with Product Managers/Owners to ensure features and user stories are clear, concise, prioritized, and understood.
  • Establish and maintain open and clear lines of team communication to facilitate status transparency
  • Frequently interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, involving matters between functional areas
  • Work with Teams to increase effectiveness and optimize the flow of value
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience leading functional teams in Scrum, Kanban, or other relevant frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to work independently in a global, multi-cultural environment, while managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results in a consistent manner
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Self-confidence
  • Strong sense of urgency when needed
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Team-first, servant leader mentality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent related experience
  • 10+ years of related experience, substantial experience in managing teams
  • Relevant certifications in agile disciplines
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,900 - $264,400 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus plan.
