About the role
The scope and nature of the projects on which you'll work will vary however, examples of duties/responsibilities include:
- Supporting reviewing of processes and operating models and working within a team to recommend and deliver material improvements
- Contributing to assessment of controls processes and definition of solutions to optimise or deliver more robust control
- Working on projects for top tier investment banking clients, with a strong focus on the business process
- Maintenance/creation/streamlining of dashboards, bringing together data sources from around the organisation (SQL Server, MS Dynamics, etc)
- Support the business planning and reporting processes, enabling the delivery of business plans
- Work with senior members of the business & stakeholders to capture needs and requirements and design systems that support those needs.
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications & Experience
- A 2.1 degree in a Finance, Legal or STEM subject
- 8+ years' experience of working on projects or professional services projects (Ideally for an Investment Bank or a Big 4 consulting firm, relevant experience within other professional industries would be acceptable)
- Understanding of finance/finance operations
- Accounting / Operations Research / Productivity background
- Prior experience in a Business Management function would be a plus
- Experienced in financial/management accounting, forecasting, budgeting and business analysis
- Experienced in strategic workforce planning processes such as skills segmentation, forecasting and planning
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), staffing models
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to lead a small team
