  • Driving operational excellence within the events team - implementation of global best practices and efficiency through maintaining and enhancing control procedures in APAC regions
  • Actively partnering with key vendors, consultants and outsourced providers to provide cost effective and innovative methods of operation

What you will be responsible for
As Events Coordinator, you will
  • Responsible for supporting the regional implementation of the APAC client event strategy, this role will work closely with the regional and business heads and sales / relationship teams to execute signature proprietary events and activations supporting global industry partnerships and events
  • Support the development and offerings for executive visibility profiles at events to drive thought leadership themes and global influence
  • Responsible for developing an integrated marketing approach for event activations, including PR, social, content strategy, client and internal communications, lead generation and marketing analytics.
  • Develop communications plans across event lifecycle including client communications, agenda programming and promotions.
  • Partner with global events colleagues as well as marketing country leads across State Street, CRD and SSGA to ensure alignment across client event experience and offerings
  • APAC regional reporting including calendaring, event guides, and budget

  • Excellent organizational, administrative, problem-solving skills and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously
  • Considerable knowledge of site selection and contract negotiation
  • Demonstrated ability to make appropriate financial and customer service decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
  • Experience with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Experience with SalesForce
  • Experience in digital events tools, both collaboration and virtual events platforms

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4-6 years corporate event management experience; preferably in B2B financial services environment
  • Bachelor's degree or four-year college degree
  • Additional language skills (spoken and written) are desirable
  • Self-sufficient, prepared to work on both strategic and tactical activities; ability to work autonomously
  • Willing to manage schedule across APAC region; occasional weekends and evenings required
  • 20-30% travel; assessed in accordance with company policies
