Role Summary:

The Private Banking unit, based in central London, forms a key part of the bank's ambitious growth strategy.

As Relationship Director, you will lead the proactive development of a portfolio of HNW customers with a focus on:
  • High value regulated mortgages (£1m plus)
  • Property investment requirements (portfolio buy-to-let, commercial)

You will be CeMAP qualified and comfortable operating in an advisory environment, but equally you will be a well rounder banker and lender, capable of responding to all lending requirements in accordance with risk appetite.

Main responsibilities:

•Support delivery of the Bank's private and commercial banking strategy including achievement of growth, income and profit targets and adherence to the Bank's standards in resect of operational and regulatory risk

•Source, manage and develop portfolio of HNW clients, meeting their needs with a focus on regulated mortgages and property investment

•Seek out opportunities for growth through the development of an appropriate network of introducer/broker/intermediary relationships

•Independently assess, critically evaluate, prepare and submit applications for loan facilities, ensuring appropriate commentary and analysis to aid decision making to the high standards expected

•Ensure that portfolio is fully compliant with the Bank's AML policies and procedures, including ensuring periodic reviews in accordance with the AML framework on all customer connections are maintained and recorded

•Monitor the loan portfolio and act as necessary to minimise risk and ensure quality account management

•Manage relevant Management Information and ensure appropriate action is reported

•Maintain delivery of a high-quality service to customers and monitor feedback via the Net Promoter Score (NPS) to drive improvements

•Understand the banks products and services, proactively identify and action sales opportunities in order to meet business objectives

•Build knowledge and understanding of relevant markets and customers in order to anticipate and meet their needs

•Monitor market developments and competitor activity. Recommend and implement appropriate action to ensure the Bank competes effectively
