Team responsibilities

MSCI is a leading provider of indexes that serve as the basis of popular index tracking products used by wealth management professionals including ETFs, funds and Direct Indexed SMAs as well as a mission critical content supplier for investment decision making within wealth management organizations. 

We are looking for a Chicago or San Francisco based results-oriented individual to build relationships with key personnel and decision makers at wealth management organizations, including due diligence teams, model portfolio managers and product management teams, to increase usage of MSCI tools and products linked to MSCI indexes.

Your key responsibilities

Expand awareness and use of MSCI indexes and investment products based on those indexes. 
Educate professional index-based investors with specific focus on the advantages of MSCI factor, ESG, climate, and thematic indexes relative to competitive options. 
Partner with distribution teams at ETF sponsors and other investment organizations offering financial products linked to MSCI indexes. 
Develop relationships with senior investment professionals including CIOs, asset allocation committees, portfolio managers, due diligence staff and product creators at wealth management firms in the Western United States. 
Identify opportunities to expand existing MSCI relationships and create new ones within the wealth management space in an effort to meet and exceed MSCI commercial objectives. 
Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI content and methodologies.
Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Bachelor’s Degree and/or CFA charter holder/CAIA preferred.
4-7 years of experience in the financial service industry.
Minimum of 2 years direct sales or business development experience with a proven record of accomplishment.
Superior communication and time management skills.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Candidate should be solutions-oriented and have a strong understanding of the global markets, investment strategy and the uses of indexes in the investment process (asset allocation, benchmarking, portfolio attribution, reporting, etc.)
Proven track record in client facing success.
Great networking and inter-personal skills. 
Innovative, entrepreneurial, client centric thinker with a strong consultative sales drive.
