Life & Health Claims Director (Insurance)

Responsibilities

Carry out Claims assessment according to the internal Claims Procedure and Claims Guideline within the granted claims authority level.
Perform all claims assessment in alignment with claims best practice - be prudent, professional and timely, and adopt proactive claims management.
Prepare regular management and business reports of Claims Department.
Responsible for the business data analysis, requirement gathering, scoping, documentation and function specification review to ensure business objectives are aligned.
Ensure clients fulfil claims assessment and management requirements for automatic business.
Conduct audit review of claims processing for vendors to identify improvement areas and ensure adherence to standards and guidelines set up the company and regulators.
Analyse claim practice.
Developing and implementing claims principles, guidelines and standards.
Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional departments and external parties to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with company strategy.
Analyse claims data to identify improvement opportunities, propose resolutions and execute improvement plans.

Requirements

Bachelor degree holders in Insurance, medical, management or related disciplines preferred
A tactful team player with excellent interpersonal skills, good judgment and the ability to interact with clients and working stakeholders at all levels
Holder of FLMI or ICA qualification is preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of claims experience in Life Insurance Industry
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
Highly organized self-starter, capable to lead multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
