You will be joining a growing Boston-based team of 6 professionals ("giraffes") and work in collaboration with the rest of the Green Giraffe "tower" - other professionals in Africa, Asia, and Europe on our projects. The scope of this role will include:

• Development and management of financial models and cash flow valuations for renewable energy projects

• Organization and review of due diligence work prepared by our clients and other advisors

• Market intelligence on sectors of interest, including in-depth review of industry reports

• Business development assistance

• Active participation in a young, international, and dynamic team focused on making projects happen and adding real value to our clients

• Opportunities to travel between Green Giraffe offices, to visit clients, and to participate in regular team building activities

• Green Giraffe will require you to obtain securities licenses necessary to engage in investment banking work and will sponsor you for these licenses.

Required education and attributes

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degrees are preferred. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate:

• Excellent analytical skills and an ability to learn quickly

• A basic understanding of - and interest in - financial concepts and products

• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

• Thoroughness and organization

• An ability to work in a high-pressure environment

• An ability to take initiatives and take responsibility for allocated tasks

• The willingness to travel abroad

A second language (Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Japanese, or Spanish) would be a great plus, and professional experience in project finance and/or in the renewable energy sector will be considered favorably.

This job is to be filled on a permanent and full-time basis. A competitive compensation package including healthcare coverage, dental coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, and commuter benefits is available. The candidate can expect opportunities to travel to other offices around the globe and to participate in regular team building activities.
