What you will do:
- Review and assess relative value opportunities for sector and individual security positions
Communicate effectively across the organization to develop and maintain close relationships with other traders, research analysts, relationship managers, and finance to respond to client requests

Execute trades across various liquidity platforms (ie/ Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, etc)

Utilize analytical skills to leverage existing trading and portfolio management systems, with an eye towards improvements and increased efficiency

Identify and distribute relative value trade ideas to the broader investment team
-
Communicate effectively with the broker community to deepen trading relationships, with the goal of delivering best execution

Support growth by working on prospective client portfolio reviews, finals presentations, etc.

Monitor financial market and global news
What you will need to succeed:
- MBA, CFA or candidacy a plus
- SQL programming or Python experience preferred but not required
-
Experience in either ABS, Corporates, or Municipals preferred, but not required

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
-
Ability to work with a diverse range of people
-
A collaborative work style and positive attitude
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Aladdin, electronic trading and/or other fixed income technologies

Ability to remain calm and objective in the face of periods of excessive optimism or extreme pessimism in the capital markets
Required education and skills:
- Undergraduate degree
- 3+ years of trading and/or market experience

Self-motivated and self-directed, effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks under strict deadlines

Strong attention to detail and understanding of the need for precision when trading

Must be able to respond negatively to a Disciplinary History Questionnaire as required by securities regulations
