The role is:

- Inside IR35 (PAYE), plus paid accrued holidays, statutory sick leave and paid employer's NI and pension contribution

- 6 months contract

- Location: London Paddington, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

- Must have experience: people management; Oracle Billing System knowledge; Advanced Excel skills; payments, accruals update, contract renewals, clawback assessments

What's it all about?

To support the substantial growth and increasing complexities, we are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager - Client Incentive Operations to the organization.

The Client Incentive Operations (CIO) team determines the accounting treatment of incentives in accordance with US GAAP and ensure compliance with contractual terms on executed Client Agreements. This includes assessment of any contingent liability clauses. The team also manages life cycle events associated with executed contracts such as building financial models to calculate incentive accruals, processing payments and processing contract renewal. The process is highly complex, bespoke and requires significant interactions with other teams such as Deals, Client Incentive Market Specialists and Account Executives.

The team is part of the broader Revenue function within the Controllership team.

In addition to accounting and operational responsibilities, we are currently investing significantly in our Back Office processes and the person will also support projects and develop best practice in processes and controllership and ensure that our processes are aligned globally.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting for Client Incentive models on Oracle Revenue Management and Billing System (ORMB) and Excel
  • Manage the build of new client agreements by reviewing contracts and working with Deal and Client Incentive Market Specialists and Account Executives
  • Manage all life cycle events associated with Client Incentives Operations- payments, accruals update, contract renewals, clawback assessments
  • Ownership of aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while implementing and maintaining adequate mechanisms and forums for reviews, decision making and escalations with finance partners and management. This includes journal approval, BS reconciliations, manual journal review, PnL and BS flux analysis, subsequent event reporting
  • Manage all audit related queries
  • Manage team of 3
  • Support key IT investment initiatives by providing data or information
  • Evaluation of technical accounting considerations relating to new business activities

Qualifications

What we're after
  • Qualified Accountant with minimum 4 years PQE- ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong experience in Financial Control including month-end and year-end close processes and strong knowledge of accounting standards
  • Demonstrated people management experience in a hands-on role
  • Strong understanding of both financial and operational controls in a high-volume reporting environment, with heavily reliance on IT systems, automated and manual controls
  • Inquisitive and possess natural curiosity to challenge current practices
  • Ability to dive deep into data, processes, people and technology challenges in order to identify issues and opportunities towards improving client submissions and internal reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in driving standardization and continuous improvement of existing processes and controls to achieve successful end-to-end reporting approach
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate concisely and persuasively across regional and/or functional lines,
  • Intermediate Excel skills at a minimum
