Our Operations Team

We support our global business by providing high quality and efficient operational oversight, processing and reporting across all of our business channels. Operations covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities from ensuring confirmation and settlement of trade activity, daily oversight of the funds Net Asset Value (NAV) to ensuring that we meet all of our Client, Fund and regulatory reporting obligations. The Base

In Singapore, Schroders' presence dates back to the mid-1970s. Since then, we have successfully built a strong local franchise and are one of the largest asset management companies in Singapore today.

We manage funds for a broad range of clients including official institutions, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, charities, government-linked companies, high net worth individuals and retail investors.

Singapore is our Asia Pacific operations hub, providing operational oversight to other offices in the region such as Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan. The team constantly seeks to develop and adopt innovative and collaborative solutions to bring the best results for our clients.

The Programme

You will join as a permanent employee and start your career in the Operations Academy before moving into a dedicated team.  Over the two-year programme, you will be rotated across a number of areas to give you an introduction into operations.  You will also have the opportunity to network and meet with the wider business groups, which will give you insight into the world of asset management. 

We want you to be innovative and creative in your approach in understanding what we do and how we do it. We will provide training throughout the two-year programme which will cover: aspects of the asset management industry via accredited learning to gain the Level 3 - Investment Operations Certificate; functional knowledge through a regular rotation into different teams; application training as part of the on-the-job experience; as well as non-functional training, such as organisation skills and written/verbal communication effectiveness, to help broaden your overall skills set. You will learn from experienced colleagues as they guide you through the various applications and processes which will allow you perform your role more efficiently.

• Demonstrates strong communication skills and working well within a team environment.
• Experience of prioritising workload, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, problem solving and confidence in communicating escalations when required.
• Show great interpersonal and analytical skills.
