Position Description:

The Client Operations Solutions team serves as a central operational liaison that focuses on oversight and improvement to the portfolio event process, including setting up new accounts, modifying existing portfolios, and delivering standard reporting. We work cross-functionally to understand client needs, translate them into meaningful plans, and execute accordingly to mitigate risk and build efficiency. Our team also uses data and technology to develop innovative solutions and interacts with various businesses across PIMCO.

As a Client Reporting Analyst, your primary responsibility is to act as an internal resource to support the portfolio event and reporting process/inquiries. You will also contribute to operations-related projects that enhance communications, report optimization, and create operational efficiency. This role may be based in Newport Beach, CA or Austin, TX.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for client-related audit requests - analysis, production, and distribution:
    • Track and analyze all incoming client paper audit requests
    • Prioritize requests accordingly
    • Leverage PIMCO's client data and systems to accurately complete audits
    • Ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of work completed
  • Participates actively as a subject matter expert or project manager in:
    • Enhancing the portfolio event process
    • Overseeing low-risk portfolio events
    • Any ad hoc projects
    • Training sessions provided to other departments / internal clients
    • Partnering with technology to automate business processes
  • Contributes to the quality of team processes and business acumen:
    • Identifying and discussing any perceived gap(s) in operations/business processes
    • Recommending improvements relative to risk and/or efficiencies
    • Monitoring and updating internal procedures and identifying areas for documentation improvement
    • Staying informed on industry developments and actively demonstrating curiosity and initiative to learn
    • Contributing to building repeatable, consistent processes to reduce risk and ensure operational efficiency
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned and maintain a commitment to quality and attention to detail; ensure that all work is completed accurately and on time


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of related professional work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement
  • Interest in learning about the financial markets and investment management industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • Have a client service mindset and exhibit a strong sense of urgency when responding to internal and external requests
  • Foster a sense of teamwork, assisting others when needed/required
  • Thrive in an ambitious, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts in priorities as business needs decide
