We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager to join Arrow Group Risk Team. This 2nd line team is responsible for the development, enhancement, maintenance and embedding of the Group Risk Framework, Group Risk System, Group Risk Appetite and Group Policies for Arrow Global Group, across Europe (UK, Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, and Italy).

The role presents a great opportunity to support the Group Risk with significant opportunity to build relationships with senior stakeholders and their direct reports across the Group. It also presents a chance to work with a dynamic, energetic, and productive Risk team across the Group in a fast-growing fund management and servicing business.

The role will be based at either our Manchester or London office combined with home working. 

What will you be doing?
  • Responsible for the oversight and management of the Group Risk system management processes.
  • Responsible for risk analytics and reporting across risk appetite, RCSA and incident management, and support the team as required to enhance and embed the enterprise risk management framework of the Group.
  • Supporting the Group Head of Risk with the oversight of the Group Risk Framework (such as risk appetite, policies, risk and control self-assessment, incident management)
  • Supporting the Group's risk governance structure across the Group, including production of Risk Committee reporting, including ExCom and Board Audit and Risk Committee reporting.
  • Interaction with key stakeholders across Countries on all Risk topics and best practice
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of any regular risk reports (targeted risk assessments).
  • Assisting with coordination and preparation of regular risk training work across the Group.
  • Contributing to the monitoring of the firm's risk profile through KRIs, incidents and other risk monitoring tools.
  • Contributing to strengthening firmwide risk awareness and culture.

Is this you?
  • Minimum of degree level qualification
  • Experience in a risk management role in the financial services sector
  • Excellent knowledge of using risk systems (particularly Riskonnect)
  • Stakeholder management skills and experience in communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Organised and methodical, can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A quick learner, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong Excel (for analysis and reporting purposes) and PowerPoint skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.
  • Team player.
