Job Responsibilities
  • To provide analytical and research support to the Strategic Planning Office in the execution of its key strategic initiatives to achieve its 5-year plan.
  • To perform regular review of the 5-year Strategic Plan, communicate progress to external & internal stakeholders and recommend adjustments if needed.
  • Perform primary and secondary research to identify key market trends/business operating models to study & evaluate for possible integration into UOBAM Group's business & transformation plans.
  • To provide analytical and research support to the business & investment teams to define UOBAM's overall business positioning. This will include defining UOBAM's unique selling point, identifying how does this translate into a customer value proposition and how to set up the right capabilities and structure to deliver this value.
  • To perform primary and secondary research to benchmark UOBAM's business performance across its key business lines across the region
  • To perform primary and secondary research to benchmark UOBAM's business development, investment management and operations capabilities against key competitor.
  • To perform necessary financial analysis to support partnerships and acquisitions
  • To plan the scheduling, agenda & facilitation of the SPO meetings.


Job Requirements
  • A degree holder with minimum 5 years' experience in a similar capacity in the asset management, financial services industry and/or experience in providing consultation services in the consultancy business space.
  • An independent contributor with a strong sense of initiative & has the ability to drive projects effectively & work with cross functional teams to deliver results.
  • Able to appreciate the asset management industry & financial market environment on a high level while able to be meticulous enough to work with data for deep level analysis.
  • Good knowledge in data collection & data analysis methods.
  • Advanced MS Excel & MS PPT skill sets are a must while having experience with data visualization platforms (e.g. QLIK) is a definite advantage.
  • Able to work independently, possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
